ForskNG is a programme supporting research, development and demonstration of biogas technologies and their interaction with the gas network. In this context biogas technologies comprise biogas and gasification gas produced from biomass.

The development of new gas technologies contributes to ensuring that there will be high gas security of supply in future as well and that gas transmission will take place in a manner that is both environmentally friendly and technically defensible.
