REMIT-messages become Gas Market Messages
Today, Energinet.dk has launched a new website, on which the gas market players can communicate market information.

Energinet.dk makes https://gasmarketmessage.dk available in order to ensure increased transparency on the gas market. On this website, gas market players that have concluded an agreement with Energinet.dk can send and receive information that is thought likely to significantly affect the prices of gas on the wholesale market.

In cooperation with the Danish Energy Regulatory Authority, Energinet.dk has taken this initiative in order to meet the requirements of the EU's REMIT directive with regard to ensuring equal access to such market information that may influence the wholesale price on the gas market. REMIT stands for 'Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency'.

The messages are comparable to the 'Urgent Market Messages' (UMM) that Nord Pool Spot publishes on their website for wholesalers on the electricity market.

If you wish to send and receive messages on https://gasmarketmessage.dk:
Once your company has concluded an agreement on 'Gas Market Messages' with Energinet.dk, you can subscribe to the portal and subsequently publish and receive the messages. The agreementbe downloaded on  https://gasmarketmessage.dk.

Your company must request an agreement by filling in a request form, and mail it to anmodning@energinet.dk. After signing the agreement, new users on https://gasmarketmessage.dk can register by creating a user name and contact information on the actual website.

Subsequently, Energinet.dk will approve all users whose companies have signed a 'Gas Market Message Agreement'. Approved users can create messages and will receive messages direct by e-mail.

There will be a transition period up to and including 29 April 2012, during which messages created on https://gasmarketmessage.dk will be sent both automatically via the portal and from Control Centre Gas, which means that some users will receive two e-mails during the transition period.
