Consultation on Technical regulation 3.4.3 – Requirements for transmission-connected demand facilities
Energinet is currently seeing markedly increasing interest and a request from large demand facilities for connection to the transmission system. Some of these demand facilities request very large power draws, which means that Energinet have a pressing need to ensure that demand facilities of this size can be integrated into and connected to the public electricity supply system under technical conditions which mean that Energinet can ensure the quality and stability of the electricity supply system in the future.
Energinet hereby submits a proposal for requirements to public consultation during the period 17 December 2021 to 21 January 2022. Please note that the deadline has been extended to 4. February.
Energinet intends to introduce new connection requirements for large transmission-connected demand facilities (>200 MW), taking into account, however, the requirements in DCC and the Danish Electricity Supply Act, including that these requirements must be proportional and cost-effective.
Energinet submits the following documents for consultation (cf table below):
- Technical regulation 3.4.3 - Requirements for transmission-connected demand facility
- Requirement notification (DCC) - Requirements for category 7, including:
- DCC Appendix 1 - General technical requirements for grid connection of demand facilities and distribution systems, Rev. 2A.
- DCC Appendix 1 D – Simulation model requirements, Rev. 1A
- DCC Appendix 1 E - Power quality requirements , Rev. 1A
Technical regulation 3.4.3 will be accompanied by a guide when it is notified to the Danish Utility Regulator.
