The methodology for procurement of countertrade energy has been submitted for public consultation

The proposed methodology ensures that Energinet can procure countertrade energy in the intraday market on the Danish side of the border in coordination with adjacent TSOs if requested.

Energinets current countertrade practice can no longer continue after November 2022 when the Nordic platform for balancing becomes automated.

The methodology for procurement of countertrade energy submitted for public consultation is a better alternative than the current countertrade practice when it comes to the central legal requirements: ensuring system security, market-based solution, non-discriminatory, efficient and transparent.

The public consultation on the methodology for procurement of countertrade energy can be found here at Energinet's consultation site
